The Best Movie of the Year

This is proof that the Oscars are not paying attention to true artistry.  If you have not seen Martha Marcy May Marlene, do so now.   I realize that this is my third post about this movie, but I’m telling you, it’s incredible.  I was so shocked it was not nominated that I actually checked the ‘Best Picture’ and ‘Best Actress’ listing twice.  Nope.  Nope.  and nope I’m not watching the Oscars again this year (I’m sure they’ll miss me).  I can count the awards I care about on one finger:

Gary Oldman for best actor.

Thank you and good night.

  1. Hahaha. We should Occupy the Oscars.

I think movies like Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve really epitomize Hollywood (films and actors) and its lack of creativity and artistry. Back slapping, self-pleasure at its most obscene. And we wonder why truly good movies are ignored.
